About Me

Hello, my name is Lucie Walton. I am a new childminder 2022 for Alford area. I am registered with the Care Inspectorate and have Full Disclosure. I am working from my own home in Alford, offering a high quality, flexible childcare service where we will work together to ensure that your child has a routine that you are both happy with.

I aim to provide a lovely home-like environment to encourage your child to feel safe and have lots of fun.

 

I have plenty of toys, equipment for arts and crafts and also access to a varied library of books, board games. We will have morning yoga, singing and much more stuff to do.  I also have a garden - weather permitting outside play.

We will walk around Alford (woods, parks, playgrounds) on a daily basis - in all weather conditions  exploring and learning about the areas around us.

I also use the local community parks, groups (Tuesday - toddler club, Wednesday - Tullynessle toddlers)  as much as possible encouraging your child to enjoy sociable experiences and interaction with other children of a similar age.

Snacks will be provided for free and I can offer lunch for small fee if required.

Experience

I am mother to a 6 year old girl and 3 year old boy and have previously needed childcare myself so I understand what your worries and concerns may be.

 I have completed my Childminder induction training with the SCMA. I have completed a  Food Hygiene, Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Getting it Right for every Child (GIRFEC) courses through Aberdeenshire council. Continuous training and development is something that I very much believe in to help me to develop the service which I offer.
